The city is crossing by the Interstate 94 "Dan Ryan" which runs along the county on 28.4 miles (45.7 km), build in 1951 and rehabilitated in 1989. This is a five lanes way with six exits (136 to 142) connected to city roads and US Roads (17, 24, 55, 61, 76, 89 and 92 ; details below).
